Volos: 56-year-old dies at same spot as his son

A 50-year-old man, a father of three, died at Volos Hospital, where he had been treated after a serious traffic accident on the eve of the August 15 holiday on the Volos-Dimini road. According to the report by TA NEA, which explicitly attributes the information to the local outlet gegonota.news.gr, the 56-year-old was riding a motorcycle that collided with a truck. The incident carries a particularly tragic dimension, since his 21-year-old son had died at exactly the same spot on the road about two and a half years earlier. The injured man was taken by EKAB ambulance to hospital, where he was found to have suffered serious injuries to the pelvis and lower limbs and to be suffering uncontrollable internal bleeding. Despite doctors’ efforts, he died from his injuries.
