EFKA and DYPA: payments until 2 October

EFKA and DYPA proceed with a series of payments to citizens from 28 September to 2 October 2026, according to a report by Koinignomi (koinignomi.gr) published on Sunday 27 September 2026. In total, during this period 1,208,786,298.6 euros are paid to 1,745,730 beneficiaries, covering pensions, advances and allowances. The detailed payment schedule gives beneficiaries a clear picture of when the amounts are expected to be credited to their accounts, something that facilitates family planning at the start of October. These payments affect hundreds of thousands of households across the country.

The largest part of the amount concerns October pensions: on 29 September 2026, 1,123,486,298.60 euros are paid to 1,649,038 beneficiaries. This is followed, on 30 September 2026, by the payment of 2.5 million euros to 7,000 beneficiaries as a pension advance, based on law 4778/2021, which allows new retirees to receive part of the amount before their file is finalised. On 2 October 2026, the payment of 300,000 euros to 350 beneficiaries for institution allowances is scheduled. These four dates make up a clear payment map, so each category of beneficiaries knows in advance when the amount they are entitled to is expected. In parallel, DYPA proceeds with three separate categories of payments in the same period. 32 million euros are paid for unemployment benefits to 53,000 beneficiaries, 12 million euros for maternity benefits to 14,000 beneficiaries and 21 million euros for employment programmes to 20,000 beneficiaries. These payments concern different categories of citizens, from the unemployed to mothers and participants in employment programmes, and reflect the breadth of social support provided through DYPA. In total, these three payment categories of DYPA amount to 65 million euros to 87,000 beneficiaries, an amount added to what EFKA pays in parallel. For beneficiaries, this schedule means that the amounts are expected to be gradually available within the period 28 September to 2 October 2026, depending on the payment category in which each person falls. Retirees expecting October pension will see the amount credited on 29 September, while beneficiaries of advances, institution allowances, unemployment, maternity and employment programme benefits will receive the corresponding amounts on the scheduled dates. EFKA and DYPA have not announced any changes to this schedule, which remains stable for the period 28 September to 2 October 2026.
