e-EFKA and DYPA: Payments of 56.7 million euros through August 14

A total of 56,756,000 euros will be paid to 58,370 beneficiaries during the week of Monday August 10 through Friday August 14, according to the payment program of e-EFKA and the Public Employment Service. These are regular benefit payments and allowances scheduled on a weekly basis, which this year are being carried out before the August 15 holiday.

The largest portion of payments comes from DYPA. An amount of 21 million euros is paid to 35,000 beneficiaries of unemployment allowances and other benefits. Additionally, 19 million euros is directed to 18,000 beneficiaries of subsidized employment programs, which concern employers and beneficiaries participating in employment support initiatives.

In the same framework, 1.5 million euros is paid to 2,200 mothers for subsidized maternity leave and another 1.5 million euros to 2,500 beneficiaries of public benefit programs. These two categories concern targeted benefits with regular periodicity, which are paid through the same service.

From the e-EFKA side, an amount of 13.5 million euros is directed to 500 beneficiaries of lump-sum benefit decisions. At the same time, on August 14, 256,000 euros is paid to 170 beneficiaries of the former OAEE, an amount that concerns maternity benefits, funeral expenses and accident allowances. Fund payments follow the schedule of issuing relevant decisions.

For beneficiaries, the practical significance of the data is planning: knowing the payment date allows them to organize their obligations, especially ahead of the holiday period when services operate with reduced staff. The amounts are credited to the bank accounts declared to the respective bodies, without requiring action from the beneficiary. If payment does not occur, beneficiaries can contact digital services or local offices.

The most common causes of delay concern incorrect account details or outstanding issues in the application file. No detailed breakdown of payments per day for all categories has been announced, with the exception of former OAEE benefits set for August 14. It is also unclear whether there are pending applications that will not make the current week’s payment window.

The funds have not provided comparative data with previous weeks. The next payment program is expected to be announced after the August 15 holiday, according to usual practice. Those interested can check the status of their benefits through the digital services of e-EFKA and DYPA.
