Coast Guard: Two Injuries in Paros and Amorgos

Two separate injury incidents occupied the port authorities of the Cyclades on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, in Paros and Amorgos. In Amorgos, the incident occurred in the land zone of the port at Xylokeratidi, where the 58-year-old man suffered injury from a fall, according to the Port Authority of Amorgos. An ambulance from EKAB transported him initially to the Health Centre of Amorgos for initial examinations. Due to the limited capacity of the local facility, his transfer to a larger island for further care was deemed necessary. The man boarded the ship «KYRIARCHOS V» and was transferred to Naxos, where he continued to receive medical care. In this case as well, the competent port authority has ordered a preliminary investigation to examine the conditions of the incident.

The two incidents are being examined separately by the respective port authorities, as they involve different people, different locations, and different conditions, with no cause or responsibility yet assigned.
