Piraeus: fire in an abandoned building

A fire broke out on the morning of Monday 24 August 2026 in an abandoned building on Omiridou Skyliitsi street, in the Municipality of Piraeus. Fourteen firefighters with four vehicles were mobilised at the scene, while the operation also involved a special aerial ladder vehicle, which allows the fire to be tackled from height when access to a building’s interior is judged dangerous.
